Job Description

VisionFund Ghana, a leading microfinance institution and member of the World Vision International partnership, seeks two dedicated Faith & Development Officers to facilitate client empowerment and spiritual growth in our Amasaman and Hohoe branches. These roles offer unique opportunities to integrate faith-based values with economic empowerment while creating meaningful impact in local communities.

Role Overview

As a Faith & Development Officer, you will implement VisionFund’s Empowering Worldview (EWV) training program while supporting broader social performance initiatives. You will facilitate client transformation through values-based education and document success stories that demonstrate program impact. These positions require deep commitment to community development and alignment with Christian values.

Key Responsibilities

Client Training & Program Implementation

  • Facilitate daily EWV training sessions for microfinance clients
  • Conduct pre-training, post-training, and follow-up impact surveys
  • Document client transformation stories and program successes
  • Champion all EWV activities within assigned branch territories

Staff Development & Community Engagement

  • Support ongoing staff training in faith-based development approaches
  • Build relationships with diverse community stakeholders
  • Inspire positive transformation through EWV-themed activities
  • Ensure program alignment with organizational impact goals

Insurance Services & Social Performance

  • Drive insurance product sales to clients and community members
  • Support additional social performance tasks as assigned
  • Implement embedded client education initiatives
  • Contribute to the branch social performance monitoring

Qualifications and Experience

Essential Requirements:

  • Senior High School certificate or equivalent qualification
  • Demonstrated commitment to Christian values and ethics
  • Strong team collaboration and interpersonal skills
  • Proven integrity and professional conduct
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse populations

Professional Competencies:

  • Proactive approach with self-motivation capabilities
  • Excellent facilitation and communication skills
  • Cultural sensitivity and community engagement experience
  • Basic documentation and reporting abilities
  • Commitment to child and adult safeguarding principles

Preferred Attributes:

  • Background in community development or faith-based work
  • Experience with training or adult education programs
  • Understanding of microfinance or financial inclusion concepts
  • Residence in or willingness to relocate to Amasaman or Hohoe
