POSITION: Group Logistics and Procurement Manager

We currently seek a driven Group Logistics and Procurement Manager to lead our entire supply chain operations across the Group. The Group Logistics and Procurement Manager position transcends traditional supply chain oversight. You will take full strategic responsibility for overseeing all logistics and supply chain processes across the Group, ensuring products reach customers on time and within budget. Your leadership will directly influence operational efficiency, cost management, and customer satisfaction across our diverse business units. Core Responsibilities

Your leadership will encompass these critical functions:

Lead the Group in planning and managing imports and exports shipments effectively
Ensure timely shipments and clearing at ports to avoid incurring penalties
Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and carriers while negotiating favorable terms
Monitor quality, quantity, cost, and efficiency of goods movement and storage
Mentor and develop logistics staff while fostering a culture of teamwork and accountability
Evaluate and optimize supply chain management activities and procedures across the Group
Undertake market research to understand the vehicle import industry thoroughly
Lead the logistics team in planning and executing supply chain strategies against established KPIs
Liaise with divisional VPs and internal auditor to enforce procurement policies and controls
Develop and implement logistics processes optimizing inventory management, transportation, and warehousing
Lead all freight processes ensuring tenders complete per given deadlines
Collaborate with sales and parts departments to forecast demand accurately
Oversee vendor selection and management for reliable service and cost-effectiveness
Utilize data analytics to drive decision-making and improve operational performance
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards
Plan and direct transportation, warehousing, and distribution of all brands
Manage inventory levels and ensure accuracy of stock records

Required Qualifications and Experience

Educational Foundation: Candidates must hold a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. An advanced degree such as a Master of Business Administration provides a significant advantage.
Professional Certifications: Relevant certifications strengthen your application considerably, including the Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) by the Association for Supply Chain Management (ASCM), the Logistics Management Professional (LMP) by the National Defense Transportation Association (NDTA), and the Ghana Customs Proficiency Certificate.
Professional Experience: We require a minimum of 15 years of post-bachelor’s degree proven work experience with a solid foundation in shipping lines and port clearance operations. This experience should encompass supply chain management, transportation, warehousing, and inventory control. Willingness to travel regularly to West African countries remains essential.
