POSITION: Marketing Manager
Coastal TV stands as a transformative community television project implemented by the Centre for Intercultural Learning and Talent Development (CILTAD) . Our mission centers on empowering communities through informative, educational, and culturally relevant programming that promotes local talent and fosters sustainable development across Cape Coast and the Central Region. We currently seek a dynamic Marketing Manager to develop, execute, and optimize marketing strategies that grow audience engagement, strengthen station branding, and drive revenue across broadcast, digital, and social platforms.
A Role of Community Impact
The Marketing Manager position extends far beyond traditional campaign management. You will take ownership of shaping Coastal TV’s public presence while championing our commitment to educating communities on health, sanitation, governance, gender equality, and civic responsibility . Your work will directly support our mission of showcasing local creative arts, encouraging positive behavioural change, and preserving the rich cultural heritage of Cape Coast. Consequently, we seek an individual who combines strategic marketing expertise with genuine passion for community development.
Core Responsibilities
Your leadership will encompass these critical functions:
- Create annual and campaign-based marketing plans aligned with station goals for audience growth, brand awareness, and revenue support
- Lead on-air and off-air promotional campaigns for shows, special programming, and community initiatives
- Oversee content promotion and performance across the station website, social channels, newsletters, and streaming pages
- Partner with Programming, News, Sales, and Production teams to ensure marketing supports business priorities
- Create marketing assets and campaign packages that help secure advertisers and sponsorships
- Ensure consistent station branding across all marketing channels including messaging, visuals, and tone
- Develop or oversee creation of digital graphics, ad copy, press releases, pitch decks, and promotional scripts
- Manage the marketing budget while coordinating with external agencies and tracking spend against ROI
- Drive grassroots visibility through partnerships, sponsorships, and local events
- Track campaign performance and deliver regular reports with actionable insights
Required Qualifications and Experience
Educational Foundation:
Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Advertising, or a related field, or possess equivalent professional experience .
Professional Experience:
We require a minimum of three years of marketing experience, preferably in media, broadcast, entertainment, or a customer-facing industry. Proven experience managing multi-channel marketing campaigns across broadcast, digital, and social platforms remains essential .
Core Competencies Required:
Strong understanding of brand strategy, campaign execution, and performance measurement will distinguish successful candidates. Proficiency with marketing tools including Meta Business Suite, Google Analytics, social scheduling tools, and content management systems proves fundamental. Excellent written and verbal communication skills enable effective stakeholder engagement. Strong project management capabilities ensure timely delivery in a fast-paced environment. Comfort working with cross-functional teams and clients remains non-negotiable.
Desirable Attributes:
Experience marketing local TV stations, broadcast news, or multi-platform media brands provides a distinct advantage. Knowledge of program promotions, ratings concepts, and advertising workflows strengthens your application. Familiarity with HubSpot or CRM systems, marketing automation platforms, or ad performance dashboards adds value. Graphic design or video editing skills using Canva or Adobe Suite are highly valued.
