Job Duties

Review and interpret construction plans, site layouts, specifications, and building methods to ensure compliance with legal and safety requirements.
Perform routine inspections and material tests on concrete, soils, and related construction materials.
Measure and verify structural dimensions, alignment, elevation, and compliance with approved plans and codes.
Coordinate and supervise inspection activities to ensure contractor adherence to project requirements and standards.
Prepare field reports, correspondence, and maintain accurate project records and documentation.
Facilitate communication between contractors, clients, government agencies, and internal project teams to resolve field issues.
Lead and mentor inspection team members, providing performance feedback, coaching, and task direction.
Conduct field calculations, notes, and reporting to support inspection findings and project documentation.

Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
Minimum of 4 years of construction inspection experience.
Strong proficiency in computer applications used for reporting and documentation.
Must pass company motor vehicle screening requirements.
Valid certification in at least one of the following: ICC Commercial Building Inspector, ICC Certified Building Official, or Structural Masonry Special Inspector.
Experience in construction management or civil engineering is preferred.
Ability to supervise inspection teams and operate in an owner’s representative capacity is an advantage.
Physical ability to work in field conditions including lifting, standing, kneeling, and working in varying weather environments.
