2023-24 Fully Funded University Of Brunei Darussalam Scholarship
Brunei Darussalam University is accepting 2023-24 scholarship applications. Starting in January 2024, international students can apply for this fully financed Master’s or Ph.D. fellowship. The scholarship covers all degree-related fees and has no application fee.
Scholarship Details:
UBD has majors in Islamic Studies, Business, Arts, Science, Health Sciences, Asian Studies, Policy Studies, Education, Biodiversity, and Integrated Technologies. UBD scholarships pay for all of the costs of a postgraduate degree.
Brunei’s first university, UBD, opened in 1985. The 2022 QS Asia University Rankings placed it 86th in Asia and 254th in the world.
Degree Level:
Brunei University provides three scholarship types with durations:
- Master through Coursework: Full-time study takes 12–18 months, depending on the program.
- Master by Research: 24 months of full-time study.
- Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.): Ph.D. programs need at least 36 months of full-time study or 60 months of part-time study.

- Scholarships include all subjects.
Eligible Nations:
- This award is open to all international students.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Brunei and international students are eligible.
- Master’s applicants must have a First Class Bachelor’s degree.
- The Doctoral degree program requires a Master’s degree credential.
- A strong research proposal is needed.
- Candidates should demonstrate their suitability and eagerness to study their chosen field.
- English proficiency is required.
Scholarship Benefits:
The University of Brunei Darussalam Scholarship 2023-24 fully funds postgraduate degree programs for indigenous and international students. Scholarship provisions:
- Waiver of tuition, registration, and admission costs at Universiti Brunei Darussalam.
- A 36-month BND 2200.00 sustenance subsidy.
- 36-month on-campus housing.
- A round-trip economy class air ticket from and to the student’s home country upon scholarship acceptance and completion.
- For field research, the arts and humanities get BND 1,000 and science gets BND 2,000.
