2023–2024 USA Rotary Global Grant Scholarships
International students can apply for Rotary Global Grant Scholarships in the USA year 2023–2024. The scholarship allows for Masters-level coursework in any of the subjects offered by the Rotary Foundation. The scholarship application deadline is June 30, 2023.
Large-scale foreign projects that result in demonstrable, sustained results in Rotary’s areas of focus are given financial support through the organization’s Global Grants program. When Rotary clubs and districts work together to meet real neighborhood issues, their international relationships are strengthened.
Global grants can be used to fund humanitarian projects, graduate school scholarships, and teams of professionals that travel abroad to train local professionals in their industry or to further their own education in it.
Rotary International is a global service organization that brings together professionals from many professions to deliver humanitarian services, advance peace and goodwill around the world, and foster international understanding. Paul Harris, an attorney, formed the group in Chicago, Illinois, in 1905, and it has since expanded into a worldwide network with 1.2 million members in more than 200 nations and regions.

Benefits of the scholarship
Global grants have a $30,000 minimum budget and a $400,000 maximum World Fund award. Grant sponsors may support a global grant with a mix of District Designated Funds (DDF), cash, directed donations, and endowment earnings.
All DDF contributions will receive a World Fund match of 80% from the Foundation. No minimum World Fund match is required.

Before submitting an application for a global grant, both the district or club in the nation where the activity is conducted and the international partner district or club must first meet the requirements.

Early on in the planning phase, consult local experts to create a solid project plan and funding application. The district resource network (see list below) may be of assistance.
Your application must specifically outline how your project, scholarship, or team for vocational training:
- Is sustainable — includes strategies for long-term success after the funds from the global award have been used.
- Contains quantifiable objectives
- Complies with one of Rotary’s priorities
- Reacts to genuine community needs – Any club or district applying for a global grant to support a humanitarian project or a team providing vocational training must first undertake a community assessment and base their project design on the results of that assessment.
- Actively involves local residents and Rotary
- Complies with the terms and conditions of the grant’s qualifying requirements.
Receiving an application
Applications are accepted all year round, and they are evaluated as they come in.
For scholars who will begin their studies in August, September, or October, sponsoring clubs and districts must submit their applications to the Rotary Foundation by June 30.
