Applications are invited from International Students to apply for New Zealand Government Scholarships. This is offered to international students to support students to work on research projects in relation to agricultural greenhouse gas mitigation.

ENZ is a New Zealand agency that promotes New Zealand as a study destination as well as supports the delivery of education services internationally. They also provide scholarship support to New Zealanders studying abroad.

They work with other agencies in New Zealand to create an environment in which international students can study.

Who Qualify To Apply?

To qualify to apply for the scholarship program, applicants should meet the following requirements:

  • To begin with, applicants should be from developing countries.
  • Secondly, applicants should be studying Doctoral degree in given subjects.
  • Also, the applicant’s Ph.D. study must be conducted in New Zealand
  • Additionally, applicants should not hold citizenship or permanent residency status in New Zealand or Australia

SCHOLARSHIP BENEFIT:

Successful applicants will be paid a salary to cover their educational expenses.

  • Firstly, An annual living stipend of $28,000 NZD per year (tax-free) will be provided
  • Secondly, Medical insurance cover up to $700 NZD per year
  • Thirdly, Return flights to New Zealand up to a maximum of $6,000 will be provided
  • Lastly, Book and thesis preparation allowance of up to $1,500 (one-off) will be provided

Required Documents

Interested applicants should submit the following documents when applying for the scholarship:

  • To begin with, evidence of citizenship for every country for which the applicant holds citizenship
  • Secondly, applicants should meet the requirements to apply for a Ph.D. program at the selected University
  • Also, applicants should submit academic transcripts, grading scale, as well as a certificate of completion
  • Last but not least, applicants should submit a Page Motivation letter explaining why they would be the best candidate for the selected project
  • Moreover, applicants should submit their CVs (maximum two pages)
  • Lastly, applicants should have completed a master’s degree with excellent marks.
  • Applicants should also have good command of the English Language (Written and Spoken)
