This is another chance to move to the U.S. without a job offer and for free. This training is for professionals from all kinds of fields. You can apply anywhere in your country for free. You can also apply right away for your family to join you in the United States. There are more than a few spots available.

Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship Programs

The U.S. Department of State’s Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship Program gives awards to professionals in developing countries who have the ability to be leaders. These people will spend a year in a U.S. university learning and getting better at their jobs. This blog will talk about the Humphrey Fellowship program, what it does, who can apply, and what they are looking for.

Program Overview

The non-degree Humphrey Fellowship program helps mid-career professionals improve their skills and knowledge. The program is named after former Vice President Hubert H. Humphrey.

Fellows spend a year studying and developing in a US university. Leadership, professional experience, and public service determine fellows. The program covers agriculture, public health, education, environmental science, law, and more.

FULLY FUNDED PROGRAM BENEFITS

The U.S. Department of State pays for the Humphrey Fellowship Program, which is a Fulbright exchange project. The Institute of International Education runs the program. Here are some of the perks the successful candidates get to enjoy:

  • Payment of tuition and fees at the university that was chosen as the host
  • English language training before college, if needed
  • A living income, which includes a one-time allowance for settling in
  • Coverage for accidents and illnesses
  • A book stipend
  • A one-time grant for computers
  • Air travel (international travel to and from the U.S. for the Program and domestic travel to attend necessary Program events)
  • A Professional Development allowance for professional events like field trips, professional visits, and conferences

Application Process

Those who want to apply must do so through their country’s U.S. Embassy (Public Affairs Section) or Binational Fulbright Commission. The deadlines change from country to country. Applicants have to include:

  • Answer all of the questions completely, and essays written in English must answer the topic fully.
  • Two English-language letters of recommendation, one of which must come from the applicant’s present employer.
  • English versions that are official: Make sure that all of the transcripts the application uploads are official and valid. Courses taken and scores earned must be written on a transcript. Diplomas only need to be shared if the transcript doesn’t show that the degree was earned.
  • After national selection, nominations are looked at by independent review groups in the United States, and the J. William Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board makes the final decision on who gets the scholarship. After the Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board gives its approval, the U.S. Embassies and Binational Fulbright Commissions will let applicants know how they did.

Application Deadline

The deadlines change from country to country. The U.S. Embassy or Binational Fulbright Commission that nominated you will tell you when the cutoff for applications is. By the beginning of October, all applications must be sent to the Institute of International Education in Washington, D.C., from U.S. Embassies and Commissions.
