Teaching Jobs with VISA Sponsorship in France | Immigrate to France

In France, both public and private schools have relatively high educational requirements. English is taught to children as young as 9 months old at various levels to assist them in learning how to hold simple conversations.

It’s crucial to know that in many parts of France, the school day runs from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Many schools, however, allow pupils a day off in the middle of the week so that they can study on their own or participate in extracurricular activities such as music classes or sports.

The French government likes to hire experienced Teachers. You do not require a work visa if you are from an EU nation. If you are not from France, you will need to be sponsored by an educational institution or program.

Overview of the Teaching Assistant Program in France (TAPIF)

The Teaching Assistant Program in France (TAPIF) is one of the French Embassy’s longest-running and most popular initiatives. TAPIF places around 1,300 Americans in French public schools each year to work as English language teaching assistants for 12 hours per week.

TAPIF collaborates with France Éducation International (FEI) to place language assistants in classes of all ages throughout Paris, French Guiana, Guadeloupe, Martinique, and La Réunion. The seven-month contracts, which can be renewed twice (consecutively or not), provide young adults with essential classroom experience, help them enhance their French language abilities, and immerse them in the francophone culture. TAPIF is the American version of FEI’s international Programme des Assistants de language en France.

Teaching Assistants who complete the TAPIF program go on to pursue global professions in education, international commerce, public health, international policy and development, arts and culture administration, and other fields. TAPIF alumni are eligible for significant scholarships at our partner universities in the United States and France for MA and PhD studies in French, Linguistics, Business, and other fields. TAPIF alumni number over 30,000 worldwide.
