In a restaurant setting, a cashier or waitress is in charge of processing payments using cash receipts or other point-of-sale devices. They are responsible for handling earnings, making changes, registering purchases, and balancing the till.

Other Duties enlisted;

• Being prepared to ensure that a set of equipment satisfies safety regulations before using it.
• Outstanding communication abilities.
• Dependable transportation to get to the office on time each day as scheduled.
  The ability to collaborate with other operators in a team setting to satisfy the needs of the sites
• Prior to beginning work, the applicant must be prepared to consent to a background check, drug test, and physical.
• Respond to inquiries from customers regarding your products or services.
• Compare sales receipts and cash drawers.
• Specify any equipment problems.
• Greeting visitors and taking orders for food and drink
• Maintaining focus on the needs of diners when serving food to the table to them
• Keeping an eye out for diners’ demands and distributing the kitchen’s meals to them
• Making sure the meal order is prepared appropriately by the kitchen staff and presented well to the diners
• Carrying racks of cups to the service center, wrapping silverware, pre-bussing tables, wiping tables, clearing trash, and other shift-related tasks.
