Study In USA: Iowa State University Scholarships 2024
The Iowa State University scholarship application process is open for the 2024 academic year. Interested students from other countries, as well as residents, are encouraged to apply.
About Iowa State University Scholarships
Students can submit their scholarship applications in a single system by using Iowa State University’s OneApp scholarship portal. The data in OneApp will be used by the Office of Student Financial Aid, academic colleges and departments, and other campus entities (such as the Student Affairs Central Office, the Program for Women in Science and Engineering, the Student Accessibility Services, etc.) to choose the winners of scholarships.
On September 20, 2023, OneApp will launch. We advise students to check in to OneApp frequently to make sure that deadlines are followed, as they will change based on the scholarship or opportunity. Students have until the scholarship deadline to access and edit their submitted applications.
The system’s data, such as student records and/or information from the general application, conditional application, and any recommended opportunities, will be used by scholarship selection committees as soon as they start reviewing applications.
Concerning Iowa State University
With its rich history, Iowa State University is a very unique location. The chance to participate in the land-grant experiment, the progressive and creative Cyclone experience, and the stunning campus are what set Iowa State apart.
On March 22, 1858, the Iowa Agricultural College and Model Farm were founded. The Morrill Act’s provision, which was granted to the agricultural college in 1864, was approved by the Iowa Assembly in 1862. Iowa State was one of the first of a new wave of uniquely American universities to open its doors in 1869. It was founded on three ground-breaking principles: knowledge ought to be shared outside of campus, and all students, regardless of wealth or gender, should have equal access to practical subjects like science, engineering, and agriculture in addition to the traditional liberal arts curriculum.
In 1872, the inaugural class—24 males and 2 women—graduated. In 1879, Iowa State opened the first state veterinary medicine program in the history of the country. The college’s official name was changed to Iowa State University of Science and Technology in 1959. Numerous research patents and inventions, such as the first binary computer, Maytag blue cheese, the round hay baler, and more, have directly resulted from the concentration on technology.
