The Institute for Astronomical Research at Pisgah (PARI)

Brevard College is pleased to continue its collaboration with the Pisgah Astronomical Research Institute (PARI), which is located nearby.

PARI is situated in the Pisgah National Forest and spans more than 200 acres. The building is currently a learning center, but it was once a NASA tracking station for the Apollo flights.

Students from Brevard College are welcome to visit and use the facilities for study.

BMC, or Brevard Music Center

Brevard College is just a few blocks away from the stunning outdoor campus of the Brevard Music Center.

Renowned singers and musicians practice and perform all year in their amphitheaters and classrooms.

National Forest Pisgah

Brevard College’s campus is 10 minutes away, and our playground is the Pisgah National Forest.

Our kids can go outside and play since there are rivers, waterfalls, hiking trails, bicycle paths, and other outdoor recreation areas.

Students enrolled in Brevard’s Environmental Studies, Wilderness Leadership, and Experiential Education programs attend classes at Pisgah as well.

State Forest Dupont

Brevard’s backyard, the nearly 10,000-acre Dupont State Forest, is just 20 minutes from the campus of Brevard College!

There are many waterfalls in Dupont, such as Triple Falls, Bridal Veil Falls, and Hooker Falls. Dupont is a beautiful place to go hiking and mountain riding, and it was used for filming The Hunger Games.

Brevard College Scholarship Requirements

Although there are no predetermined requirements for scholarships, previous winners were in the top 50% of applicants.

Scholarship Benefits

We handle financial aid and scholarships on an individual basis.

In addition to working with you and your family to make Brevard affordable for you, your admissions counselor acts as your advocate for admission and scholarships.

A selection of the many scholarships you can apply for is shown here. Your admissions counselor will assist you in locating other scholarships that are available.

You will begin by submitting your admissions application. A substantial five-figure scholarship will be awarded to you, and we’ll keep adding to it after that.

There is a maximum annual award of $11,000 for the Brevard Freshman Merit Scholarships, and they are renewable for a period of four years.

How To Apply?

You do not need to submit a separate application for the scholarship; rather, your application for admission really doubles as your scholarship application. Following the receipt of your application for admission by the Admissions Office, your Admissions Counselor will communicate to you whether or not you are eligible for the Merit Scholarship.
