POSITION: Business Line Manager – Load & Haul and UG Drills

We are in search of a Business Line Manager – Load & Haul and UG Drills. The Business Line Manager oversees the business performance of the LOHA & UG Drills within the Sales Area and is responsible for the success and sustained business growth. The perfect applicant should demonstrate a successful track record in leading and promoting Capital Equipment Sales while guaranteeing a smooth collaboration between the Sales Area and Divisions. The position will report to the Vice President of Sales Area for West Africa and could be located in either Accra or Kumasi.
Main Duties:
- Show a personal dedication to health and safety by regularly adhering to best practices and engaging in safety-focused initiatives
- Convey Sandvik’s policies, philosophy, performance, and standards regarding Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) clearly and effectively to clients and stakeholders.
- Act as an exemplar of Sandvik’s fundamental values, promoting a culture of integrity, creativity, and teamwork.
- Establish and guarantee the successful implementation and compliance with the Business Model throughout all operations.
- Deliver the Management Team prompt and pertinent insights regarding financial and operational performance, along with changes in the operating environment.
- Oversee the creation and implementation of business unit strategies, guaranteeing alignment with company objectives and promoting cross-departmental cooperation.
- Assist in the strategic development for expanding the business in the Sales Region.
- Work alongside Product Line Managers to create customer strategies that enhance revenue growth and profitability.
- Perform market analysis to sustain competitiveness and uncover new opportunities.
- Foster an upbeat business atmosphere and solid connections with the aftermarket team and other management members to improve customer service provision.
- Recruit, coach, inspire, educate, assess, and support team members to reach business goals and encourage career development.
- Utilize resources efficiently to guarantee on-schedule and budget-adherent completion of internal and client projects.
- Oversee and manage costs within limits, offering financial insights to aid in making decisions.

Qualification Requirements
We seek an experienced Sales Professional holding a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Marketing, Business Management, or a related discipline, with more than 10 years of expertise in heavy industry equipment sales, especially in value-oriented sales approaches. The perfect candidate must possess robust experience in sales strategy, budgeting, predicting outcomes, and enhancing customer satisfaction. Experience with mining firms, contractors, construction, and infrastructure clients is highly sought after, and knowledge of Sandvik products will be a considerable benefit. An established capability to create and uphold robust customer connections, backed by specific instances of achievement, is crucial. Since this position is located in West Africa, applicants need to be proficient in English—both oral and written—and able to thrive in a multicultural, global setting.
