New Job Vacancy at Judicial Service of Ghana

The Judicial Service of Ghana is seeking qualified Lawyers to apply for the role of Judicial Secretary.

Responsibilities/Tasks

  • Support the Chief Justice in overseeing the judiciary and judicial service operations.
  • Support the Chief Justice in the overall management and court operations of the judicial system.
  • Serve as the Chief Operating Officer of the Judicial Service, reporting directly to the Chief Justice.
  • Safeguard all assets belonging to the Judicial Service.
  • Act as the spending officer and guarantee that the service adheres to all financial, procurement, and other regulations required for the governance of a public sector body like the Judicial Service.
  • Support the Chief Justice in overseeing the operations of the Judicial Council and the General Legal Council.
  • Act as Secretary for the Judicial Council and the General Legal Council
  • Any additional responsibilities that may be delegated by the Chief Justice.

Required Qualification and Experience

  • The applicant must be a Ghanaian listed among the lawyers in Ghana.
  • Should have at least 12 years of experience at the Bar.
  • Having a Master’s Degree in Public Administration or Business Administration would be beneficial.
  • Should possess significant administrative experience in public service.
  • Should have outstanding interpersonal and communication abilities, in both written and spoken forms.
  • Should be a collaborative team player who can work effectively with others.
  • Must be an individual of strong moral principles and demonstrated honesty.
  • Should be proficient in computer usage and capable of utilizing word processing applications, such as Microsoft Word, etc.
