POSITION: Head of HR – People, Organisation & Development

What We Do
We construct, acquire, lease, and manage telecommunications towers that can support and power the requirements of various tenants. Our tenants include major Mobile Network Operators (MNOs), and we cater to them in nine rapidly growing markets (eight in Africa and one in the Middle East). Overview
Reporting to the Managing Director, you will play a key role in the Helios Towers Ghana Executive team, tasked with establishing and integrating a strategic HR function that enhances organizational performance. You will work closely with the Group HR Department to develop high-performing teams, foster a culture of excellence, and execute our Sustainable Business Strategy.
Role Responsibilities
As Head of HR – People, Organisation & Development, your responsibilities will include:
- Leading the rollout of strategic HR processes, such as workforce planning, talent management, performance management, and cultural transformation.
- Creating and implementing internal communication tools to improve management-employee engagement.
- Conducting needs assessments and providing organizational development initiatives aligned with business goals.
- Overseeing performance management to ensure fair evaluations with SMART objectives.
- Facilitating talent reviews and succession planning for key positions.
- Managing recruitment strategies, induction, and onboarding to support workforce expansion.
- Implementing employee engagement initiatives.
Role Requirements
To excel in this position, you should have:
- A Bachelor’s degree, ideally in Human Resource Management or Business Administration.
- A minimum of 10 years of HR experience, with at least 3 years in a senior HR leadership position.
- A solid history of HR transformation and leading organizational development projects in telecoms or related fields.
- Experience in implementing culture change initiatives.
- Comprehensive understanding of Ghanaian Labour Law and local HR practices.
Desired Skills
- CIPD, SPHR(i), or a similar HR certification (preferred).
- Familiarity with HRIS platforms, preferably SuccessFactors.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Outstanding stakeholder management and coaching skills.
- Ability to manage complex HR projects independently with resilience.
- Strategic mindset with strong analytical and decision-making capabilities.
