The Position
- Manage the daily functions of student housing facilities.
- Oversee and implement accommodation policies and procedures, guaranteeing adherence to applicable regulations and guidelines.
- Address student questions, concerns, and needs, delivering quick and effective customer support.
- The manager must coordinate with Finance and maintain precise records of occupancy, payments, and maintenance requests.
- Organize and oversee the distribution of housing to students, guaranteeing equitable and effective assignment methods.
- Work with top management and outside parties to tackle issues and worries related to accommodations.
- Perform routine checks of lodging facilities to confirm that cleanliness, safety, and maintenance standards are adhered to.
- Oversee and track maintenance and repair tasks, collaborating closely with maintenance personnel and contractors.
- Remain informed about market trends and optimal methods in student housing management and utilize insights to enhance procedures and offerings.
- Compile reports and presentations concerning lodging-related issues for management and pertinent stakeholders.
Required Skills or Experience
- A master’s degree in a related field (e.g., hospitality, education, psychology, social services) is desirable.
- Experience in a student housing context or a comparable living environment is preferred.
- Demonstrated expertise in the hospitality sector, encompassing hostel services and operations.
- Certification in first aid and CPR.
