Yesterday, TV3’s Talented Kidz reality show was brought to a successful end. This year’s grand finale saw the likes of Stonegal, Stoneboy’s music daughter, Nana AK, Allo Afro Kid, DJ Spices and Amoako Mills. At the end of the race, Gabriel Appiah, commonly known as Nana AK, was crowned the ultimate winner of the show as he bagged home handsome prizes.
He was given an amount of Gh₵10,000, a fully funded trip abroad, and an educational scholarship from Code Train and many products from the sponsors of the program (Indomie, Macberry Biscuits, Cowbell etc). DJ Spices was declared the first runner up. He was awarded a Gh₵7,000 cash prize, a one-year educational scholarship from Code Train, and products from sponsors.
Nana AK was followed by Allo Afro Kid who was given Gh₵5,000, a year educational scholarship from Code Train and products from sponsors. Oriella aka Stonegal was the third runner up with a cash prize of Gh₵3,000, a one-year educational scholarship and products from other sponsors. Amoako Mills who was also at the grand finale got some packages from Cowbell and Macberry Biscuits.
Throughout the season, Nana AK showed great talent, smartness and consistency. He told many rich histories and stories about Ghana and most especially the Eastern region, where he comes from. He is also a skilled fontomfrom player. Many people said he deserved it and that it was obvious he was going to take the crown.
Nana AK fell flat on the floor after he was announced winner of the competition. He seemed overwhelmed even though he boldly declared earlier before the finale that if he does not win the competition then no one would.
Aunty Paulina Oduro and Benedict Yartey were the judges. They applauded and thanked all the kids and also wished them well. They also acknowledged the efforts of the parents and trainers.
