Soccer legend Diego Armando Maradona, one of the greatest players off all time, has reportedly died at the age of 60 on Wednesday morning in Buenos Aires, according to the Argentinian newspaper Clarín.

Maradona, famous for leading his nation to the World Cup title in 1986, is said to have died from a ‘cardiorespiratory arrest’.

The reports follow a spell of ill health. Maradona underwent surgery for a blood clot on the brain earlier this month.

As well as representing Argentina, Maradona turned out for clubs including Barcelona, Napoli, and Boca Juniors during a glittering playing career. Most recently, he had been the manager of Argentinian Primera Division side Gimnasia de la Plata.
