POSITION: Director, Client Management

Summary

  • We seek an Account Management Director residing in Liberia.
  • This individual will oversee all MasterCard programs, including Credit, Debit, Prepaid, and Commercial cards, across issuing and acquiring operations for clients in the Rest of West Africa.
  • Increase MasterCard volume and market share among Issuers and Acquirers while creating additional revenue opportunities through value-added services.
  • Have you ever had experience in establishing a long-term relationship with a major client? Are you able to negotiate, implement, and oversee every facet of the clients’ operations? Can you rise above tactical interactions and become the reliable strategic advisor for this account?
  • Are you able to assess a client’s business by utilizing profitability modeling, financial forecasting, and competitive assessment?

Responsibilities

  • Achieve sales goals for MasterCard offerings and net revenue objectives from both new and existing business within the market.
  • Examine the client’s business by assessing profitability models, forecasting finances, and analyzing competition. Create targeted strategies that provide tailored solutions for the business, fostering profit, revenue increase, and value generation for both MasterCard and the clients, while collaborating closely with MasterCard’s cross-functional teams.
  • Work together with the client to create and implement a yearly strategic account plan, while establishing regular (minimum quarterly) review meetings to set, track, and report on progress toward shared goals.
  • Negotiate, implement, and oversee the customer contract process, guaranteeing worldwide connection of resources and information exchange.
  • Create and execute sales strategy blueprints that encompass business development, marketing, advertising, and product management tasks with clients, potential customers, and internal MasterCard stakeholders.
  • Engaged in every aspect of product development for The Rest of West Africa, covering the discovery and execution of new features and advantages, collaborating significantly with the Africa team and other internal partners in the region.
  • Develop an extensive customer marketing pipeline aimed at enhancing portfolio performance (both usage and acquisition).

  • This role provides the chance to oversee every aspect of the MasterCard relationship with designated clients
  • The role calls for a driven, commercially astute business developer possessing robust relationship management and persuasion abilities to collaborate with clients and MasterCard’s cross-functional teams in order to design and execute effective payment initiatives that enhance segment penetration and boost revenues for both MasterCard and banks.
  • The ideal candidate will be someone with a strong focus on execution, having solid experience in the payments industry, ideally from Business Development/Product management on the Issuer side, capable of collaborating across various disciplines and functions. He must also be quite at ease interacting with technology.
  • A comprehensive understanding of retail electronic payments/cards from the viewpoints of issuing, acquiring, and networks is necessary. (Experience in the banking/payments field is preferred)
  • Should be capable of merging insights from various fields (Sales, Product, Marketing, Operations, and Risk).
  • Work together with the client to create and implement a yearly strategic account plan, while establishing regular (minimum quarterly) review meetings to set, track, and report on progress toward shared goals.
