POSITION: Credit Officers
Job Summary
Fruit Finance is hiring Credit Officers to enhance our operations at Mallam Junction. This position is focused on performance and demands extensive experience in credit evaluation, loan recovery, and portfolio oversight. Candidates who succeed need to ensure repayment discipline, manage risk exposure, and uphold excellent portfolio quality.
Main Duties
- Locate and enlist suitable micro and small business clients in accordance with company guidelines.
- Perform comprehensive evaluations of clients, appraisals of loans, and on-site investigations.
- Activate, allocate, and guarantee rigorous repayment of loans to keep the Portfolio at Risk (PAR) below 5%.
- Regularly pursue overdue and non-compliant clients to seek payment according to recovery protocols.
- Provide precise daily, weekly, and monthly reports regarding disbursement, arrears, and recovery status.
- Provide financial literacy and advocate for digital repayment options to minimize default risk.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- At least 1 year of demonstrated experience in microfinance credit operations, focusing on loan recovery.
- Qualification or Degree in Finance, Banking, Business Management, or a related discipline.
- Robust analytical, negotiation, and field collection abilities.
- Proven capability to manage delinquency and uphold portfolio standards.
- Capable of performing under stress and achieving recovery goals.
- Experience in riding or driving is a beneficial asset.
