POSITION: Sales Executive (Local Hire)
Description
Sales representative overseeing Leisure, Corporate, or Group accounts in the Sales & Marketing division, potentially collaborating with local and international travel agents, tour operators, and conference-meeting-incentive organizers/DMC for both individual and group reservations.
Accountable for overseeing their designated group of agencies and ensuring the realization of the budgeted revenues for group and travel trade segments via current clients and important prospects.
Supporting and collaborating with the Director of Sales / Director of Sales & Marketing to achieve the objectives outlined in the Sales & Marketing Plan.
Main Duties
- Reach out to current and prospective clients and maintain regular follow-up with established accounts through phone calls, written communication, or in-person meetings
- Schedule meetings and conduct personal sales visits, telemarketing, and site evaluations for all current and prospective clients from corporate commercial accounts.
- Check on lost business and inform the department head about it.
- Discuss terms with all customers and dispatch proposals/contracts for both individual and group engagements.
- Monitor sales and marketing outcomes and suggest corrective measures if necessary.
- Engage the Clients’ decision makers in the hotel’s F & B venues and participate in promotional events alongside them.
- Contribute ideas and engage in organizing the promotional themed events, additional promotional activities, and guest lists.
- Address group and individual reservation requests personally when needed.
- Keep a functioning customer database system (SFA) that can track and report sales calls and other sales activities, with regular updates at specified intervals.
- Inform customers about the newest updates regarding the hotel and notify hotel management of any alterations in the customer profile.
- Participate in sales training sessions, trade exhibitions/shows, sales blitzes, and familiarization trips assigned by the Sales Director / Director of Sales & Marketing.
- Stay informed about the newest updates in the hotel, including all events, promotions, pricing of the Hotel, and other hotels in the chain.
- Inform department leaders of any updates to the customer profile.
- Compile reports for each sales call that include details about the company, their feedback, needs, issues, and their customers, among other information.
- Manage assigned accounts within a specific Segment or region and meet with them a minimum of two times each year.
- Promoting additional Kempinski Hotels locally and internationally.
Required skills & competencies
- Bachelor’s degree in business management or a related discipline.
- At least two (2) years of experience in a Sales role, ideally within a 4/5-star hotel.
- Capability to function and interact in a global setting
- Outstanding verbal and written abilities
- Skills in decision-making and problem-solving.
- Understand labor laws and regulations.
- Management abilities

- Outstanding organizational and time management abilities.
- Maintains a professional, confidential, and ethical demeanor consistently.

- Capability to operate autonomously, excel under stress in difficult situations, and devise proactive, logical solutions.
- Skill in creating and maintaining productive working relationships with hotel personnel and clients/suppliers.
