Sandvik Mining & Construction is inviting applications from driven candidates for the position of Warehouse Officer.

Job Objective:

The position is tasked with managing and overseeing the organization’s warehouse, which includes handling, packaging, and storing supplies, materials, and equipment.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Consistently adhere to established procedures in the workplace to meet daily operational KPIs and reduce operational risks.
  • Make certain that every customer gets the right parts and amounts accurately and punctually.
  • Notify of any inconsistencies concerning inventory, safety, or other irregularities.
  • Support with inventory counts, encompassing wall-to-wall and cycle counts.
  • Keep the premises clean and follow safety regulations.
  • Accept incoming purchase orders or transfer requests.
  • Execute stock put-away/binning, order selection, and order packaging.
  • Manage warehouse operations and ensure cleanliness.
  • Utilize appropriate tools and materials safely while carrying out operational procedures (e.g., forklift).
  • Conduct daily checks on machinery to confirm it is safe for operation.
  • Engage in ongoing enhancement initiatives.
  • Help in precisely and systematically compiling documents for pertinent orders.
  • Address customer inquiries when needed to solve pertinent problems.
  • Offer assistance to all team members as needed.
  • Deliver coaching and support during work as needed.
  • Record all materials and supplies within the store’s premises; verify items delivered to the warehouse.
  • Supervise the receipt, storage, and dispatch of materials, along with associated reporting as per established protocols.
  • Organize and manage timelines for shipping and receiving items to oversee the movement of products and optimize warehouse capacity.
  • Guarantee the efficiency of operational processes, use of space, and upkeep and safeguarding of facilities and equipment.
  • Working together with technicians to guarantee prompt resolution of technical problems and effective coordination of service operations.

Requisites for Qualifications and Experience

  • Secondary education or comparable background. A bachelor’s degree in a related field, along with post-secondary education or training in business or supply chain, would be beneficial
  • Over 5 years of experience in supply chain settings / warehousing / distribution or related experience.
  • Strong ability in English with both written and spoken communication skills.
  • Skilled in utilizing Microsoft Office.
  • Keen focus on precision with organizational skills and time management abilities
