Job Description

The ideal candidate is expected to support the business with regards to all financial and operational activities and will be involved with preparing financial reports and statements, bank reconciliations, and conducting cyclical audits. Moreover, the candidate must have strong interpersonal skills and possess a strong business acumen.

Responsibilities

  • Create ad-hoc reports for various business needs
  • Prepares special financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information.
  • Prepare comprehensive reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts including Cash reconciliation, Payables ageing (incl vendor credit balances), Receivables ageing (incl customer credit balances), Inventory ageing, PPE movements, Staff and Non-contract staff accounts (travel advances, due from employees etc).
  • Ensure all tax returns submitted on time as regulated and minimum tax payable
  • Summarizes current financial status by collecting information; preparing a balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports.
  • Ensuring optimal level of cash at bank maintained
  • Monitor and control the flow of cash receipts and disbursements
  • Ensure Supplier and Inventory management
  • Ensure Vendor setup process and payment management
  • Monitor and track all inbound and outbound inventory.
  • Ensure Annual asset management processes
  • Ensure timely matching of customer receipts to balances
  • Ensure Timely submission of annual audited year end packs
  • Ensure Internal and External Audits are carried out effectively at the least possible audit cost
  • Prepare tax documents
  • Compile and analyze financial statements
  • Manage budgeting and forecasting

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or related field
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience in reporting & financial management
  • Ability to interpret and analyze financial statements and periodicals
  • Fluency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Qualified accountant will be an advantage.
  • Accounting, Corporate Finance, Reporting Skills, Attention to Detail, Deadline-Oriented.
  • Should exhibit excellent communication and coordination skills.
  • Must be aware of the general regulatory norms of the petroleum and marine industry.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to carry out multiple and intricate tasks
