POSITION: Trade Marketing Manager

Position Overview

We are looking for a dedicated, results-driven, and creative person to become part of our team as a Trade Marketing Manager in Accra.

About the Position

In the role of Trade Marketing Manager, you will be crucial in creating and implementing strategic trade marketing strategies that improve product visibility, stimulate demand, and reinforce MSIG’s brand presence in both wholesale and retail sectors. You will work collaboratively with sales, marketing, digital, and creative teams, along with external partners, to execute integrated campaigns, product launches, and promotional efforts that align with MSIG’s mission and business goals.

Main Duties

  • Create and execute trade marketing tactics that are in line with MSIG’s business objectives.
  • Provide yearly trade business strategies and cohesive channel marketing initiatives.
  • Establish and nurture robust connections with retail and wholesale partners.
  • Supervise the distribution of POS materials and guarantee uniform brand communication.
  • Analyze the market and competitors to discover new business opportunities.
  • Oversee the implementation of trade campaigns, product introductions, and marketing promotions.
  • Track and analyze the success and ROI of trade marketing efforts.
  • Work together across departments to guarantee coordination and harmony in all trading operations.

Required Skills or Experience

  • Master’s degree in Business, Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, or a related discipline.
  • 3–5 years of experience in a consumer products setting (preferably FMCG or pharmaceuticals).
  • Demonstrated success in trade or consumer marketing, with a solid grasp of retail and wholesale trade dynamics.
  • Expertise in developing and launching new brands/products.
  • Expertise in online marketing and analytical software.

Critical Success Factors (CSFs)

  • Annual trade business plan completed entirely on time.
  • A minimum of 6 trade campaigns carried out each year.
  • Over 90% of product launch support tasks finished according to scheduled timelines.
  • At least 12 activities for engaging retail and wholesale partners annually.
  • ≥ 15% annual enhancement in sell-through rate in specified areas.
  • ≥ 95% distribution of POS materials across various channels
  • ≥ 10% yearly growth in brand recognition metrics.
  • ≥ 85% favorable responses from trade partners.
