POSITION: Human Resources Manager
Position Overview
CDO aims to recruit a proactive and seasoned Human Resources (HR) Manager to enhance and fortify its HR systems and practices. The perfect candidate will take on a strategic position in influencing organizational culture, improving employee performance, and guaranteeing adherence to labor laws and internal policies.
Tasks and Obligations
- Create and execute HR strategies that are in line with the CDO’s mission and operational objectives.
- Manage hiring, orientation, and employee growth procedures.
- Oversee performance evaluation processes and promote ongoing education.
- Confirm adherence to Ghanaian labor regulations and company guidelines.
- Manage salary frameworks, payroll entries, and benefits initiatives such as yearly leave distributions, health insurance, and retirement schemes.
- Encourage a supportive workplace that enhances teamwork, responsibility, and employee wellness.
- Offer assistance in resolving conflicts, managing disciplinary actions, and addressing grievances.
- Create HR reports on a monthly and quarterly basis and assist in organizational planning and audits.
Required Skills or Experience
Credentials, Background, and Abilities
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a similar discipline (Master’s degree is preferable)
- Being a member of a recognized professional organization is beneficial, although not essential.
- At least 5 years of experience in a comparable HR leadership position, ideally in the nonprofit or development field.
- Extensive understanding of Ghana’s labor regulations and human resources best practices.
- Outstanding leadership, interpersonal, communication, and organizational abilities.
- Demonstrated capability to handle delicate matters with tact and professionalism.
- Skill in HR applications and Microsoft Office Suite
- Expertise in data analysis to enhance workforce planning and human resources decision-making.
- Capacity to collaborate effectively with cross-departmental teams.
- Skills in problem-solving, conflict resolution, and decision-making.
- Capability to oversee various HR functions while aligning immediate requirements with overarching strategic objectives.
- Proficiency in HR systems and software for payroll, hiring, and performance evaluation.
- Thorough knowledge of Ghanaian labor laws, employment standards, and human resource best practices.
