About the Fellowship

What Fellows Receive
Fellows receive a $5,000 monthly stipend covering housing and living costs. A one-time $5,000 settling-in allowance eases the initial relocation. Round-trip airfare, a laptop, and health insurance are also included. A dedicated travel budget covers major international conference attendance.
Who Can Apply
Applicants must be nationals of an AOSIS member country. Candidates should be 25 to 32 years old at the fellowship’s start. One to three years of relevant government experience is required. Applicants must commit to returning to national government service afterward.

Applications must be submitted through your country’s UN Permanent Mission. Required materials include a cover letter, CV, and writing sample. A formal Note Verbale from the Mission must endorse the applicant.
