About the Programme
The programme supports young women in fields central to the IAEA’s mission. These fields advance the safe, secure, and peaceful uses of nuclear technology. A technical committee reviews each application carefully. It also weighs geographic, linguistic, and field-of-study diversity. Applicants receive decisions by email.
What Fellows Receive
Selected students receive up to €20,000 for tuition. They also receive up to €20,000 for living costs. Fellows with other scholarships must declare them. In that case, the IAEA covers tuition only, not living costs. Failure to disclose may suspend financial support.
Who Can Apply
Applicants must be women from IAEA Member States. They must be accepted by, or enrolled in, an accredited master’s programme. The programme must focus on a nuclear-related field. Preference goes to applicants with above-average grades. This means 75% or above, or a GPA over 3.0 out of 4.0.
Required Materials
Applicants submit a passport or national ID copy and a university acceptance letter. A tuition fee statement is also required. Applicants must list any other scholarships. One reference is mandatory, and a second is preferred. All documents must be in English, with official translations.
How to Apply
Complete the online application through the IAEA’s official MSCFP page before October 31, 2026.
