How much do you need to immigrate to Canada?

As we discussed here, Canada is still cheaper than Australia for immigration.

Your family size and immigration program determine how much money you need to move to Canada. It also requires settlement funds, processing fees, document translation, and additional costs, such as pet transportation.

As said, each individual or family’s selections will affect each stage’s average cost.

If you’re considering migrating to Canada, start saving today.

The Express Entry System accepts candidates who meet one of the immigration programs’ criteria.

Starting with the English

Canada’s CELPIP General Test costs CAD$280 + taxes. IELTS General Test costs CAD$300 + taxes. Country-specific availability and pricing.

A Canadian government-accredited institution may also authenticate your diplomas. WES is one. Diploma validation costs CAD$220, and each additional unit costs CAD$100. Shipping and taxes are included.

Medical exams

This is required for Express Entry, PNPs, and temporary residency applications like study or work visas. Only Canadian government-accredited doctors perform these.

The doctor, city, country, and exams—usually a chest X-ray, blood tests, and urine test—determine the cost. Contacting the nearest qualified specialist and asking about rates is best.

After receiving the Invitation to Apply (ITA), candidates must provide documents and documentation to verify their profile data.

Several factors, including translator expenses, affect translation costs. However, save CAD $350–450 for these expenses.

If you move to Canada without a job, you’ll need your money for the first several months. We advocate 6-month savings for your complete and no-work expenditures.

The Right of Permanent Resident costs $500 per adult in the pair from the Canadian government. This is free for kids.
