POSITION: Enterprise Manager

Objective of Position

The Enterprise Manager is tasked with fostering sustainable revenue growth for EduSpots both in Ghana and globally. This position merges strategic relationship development with innovative fundraising, achieving quantifiable outcomes relative to yearly goals. Collaborating directly with the Head of Philanthropy, the Enterprise Manager will integrate revenue generation into networks, corporations, communities, and individuals, guaranteeing that income sources reinforce EduSpots’ enduring mission and influence.

Principal Tasks and Obligations

Fundraising and resource gathering

  • Collaborate with the Head of Philanthropy to spearhead the creation of a fundraising approach in Ghana.
  • Involve Ghanaian networks in EduSpots’ broader fundraising initiatives (e.g. The Big Give Campaign).
  • Guide the formulation of a corporate strategy in Ghana, collaborating closely with the Head of Philanthropy.
  • Organize and facilitate partnership events and gatherings in Accra to familiarize individuals with our activities, contributing to our 100 Club.
  • Assist in leading virtual events aimed at familiarizing new supporters with our initiatives.
  • Manage book, digital tools, and broader resource collections in Accra, fostering connections with NGOs, businesses, and individuals both in Ghana and abroad.

Management of online courses

  • Oversee the marketing, administration, and assessment of EduSpots’ online course program, collaborating with schools, businesses, and individuals globally.
  • Observe student engagement and verify certification according to established guidelines.
  • Assist in fostering broader educational collaborations for revenue generation.
  • Arrange paid educational sessions with participants from the programs team.
  • Assisting community-driven fundraising
  • Provide training sessions for professional development and fundraising assistance for community-oriented volunteer groups.
  • Assisting the Head of Leadership Programmes in updating a local partnerships database for the Spots network.
  • Play an essential role in the fundraising strategy as an integral part of the fundraising team.
  • Assist with donor visits and periodic Spot visits.
  • Participate in EduSpots’ staff professional development initiative.
  • Proactive contribution to EduSpots’ broader organizational strategy.
  • Assist with developing organizational requirements as necessary.

Required Skills or Experience

Abilities, Background, and Qualities

  • Demonstrated history of effective income generation from individuals or communities – preferably in a comparable education/international development organization.
  • Experience in creating and sustaining effective income-generating partnerships (e.g. with schools, businesses, individuals, and communities)
  • Experience in digital marketing to attract new charity supporters/donors (including employing paid ads and creative engagement strategies)
  • Experience in email marketing and strategies for converting donors.
  • Robust abilities in communication and marketing,
  • Capability to perform efficiently in a remote position with limited daily guidance.
  • Robust management of internal and external relationships.
  • Outstanding interpersonal, written, and oral communication abilities.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities, capable of adhering to strict deadlines.
  • Proficient in IT – Google Suite, Microsoft Office, Zoom, Canva, and social media platforms.
  • Harmony with EduSpots’ fundamental values of compassion, enthusiasm, collaboration, lasting influence, community guidance, and recreation.

Essential

  • Experience in overseeing and reporting to financial supporters.
  • Comprehension of community-driven models of education and development
  • Fundamental design abilities (Canva)
  • Manage the implementation of the EduSpots Experience in Elmina, focusing on strategic income generation and fostering relationships.
  • Manage the social media channels and broader communications for EduSpots Experience, establishing it as a key income-generating and engagement project.
  • Organize and manage broader virtual tours and discussions about EduSpots’ activities as required.
