Current Changes to New Zealand Golden Visa
New Zealand altered the golden investor scheme. Active The “Investor Plus visa” was created to attract talented, high-value investors to New Zealand and boost the economy.
Active Investor Plus Visas are available. The new visa allows three-year spending and four-year investment retention. Investors must spend at least 117 days in New Zealand over four years. When they accept you in principle, you can apply for a work visa to come to New Zealand and transfer and invest your cash within six months.
This visa replaces the Investor 1 and Investor 2 visas, which will expire on July 27, 2022. The old investor visa categories typically led to passive investments in bonds rather than direct investments in New Zealand companies. The new Active Investor Plus visa replaces them. This supported real-world economic investments.
