BRAC International Holdings B.V. is seeking application from competent, dynamic and self-motivated individuals to fill the following position: Chief Risk Officer:

Responsibilities

The key responsibilities include but not limited to the following-

  • Advise the Board and Management team on controlling and measurements of risks.
  • Then, Responsible for development and implementation of the institution-wide risk management framework.
  • Develop and implement best risk management practices.
  • Also, Oversee and direct the enterprise-wide management of risk exposures.
  • Make recommendations to the Boards and Senior Management on the type and level of exposures in each activity segment permitted by policy.
  • Thereafter, Advise and recommend to the Boards and Management team on all matters relating to risk exposure management.
  • Regulate, monitor and review control procedures and report on matters relating to exposures
  • Moreover, Manage and report deviations from set limits and exceptions to policy to the Board and Management team for their appropriate actions.
  • Perform monthly stress-tests on risk portfolios and at least on a quarterly basis, review and approve the appropriateness of the controls applied at the business levels.
  • In addition to the monthly stress tests, perform semi-annual reverse stress-testing to examine the impact of selected scenarios from a ‘bottom- up’ perspective.
  • Afterwards, Incorporate the results of the stress-tests (which will inform management of the expected risk tendency of the portfolio against the approved risk appetite of the institution) into the risk governance structure of the institution
  • Lastly, Be empowered, where appropriate, to initiate management action to contain the potential risk levels within the approved risk appetite to ensure discipline in the risk management process of the institution

Safeguarding Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
  • Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
  • Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.

Educational Requirements:

A bachelor’s degree with a concentration in Finance, Risk Management, Economics, Banking, Business administration, Accounting or Law.
