Alberta Rural Renewal Program 2023 | Canada PR Through Alberta PNP

Did you know that the Rural Renewal Stream in rural Alberta attempts to entice new residents to tiny towns? It is based on a neighborhood-based strategy that supports community development while attending to the needs of local economic development.

To address the current labor shortages and skill gaps in rural Alberta towns, participating towns are responsible for attracting foreigners to live, work, and settle in their area and keeping them there. The stream for rural rejuvenation was created.

Before being designated, communities must request it from the Alberta government. When this stage is over, communities can begin the hiring process. The community works with businesses in a settlement agency to exchange knowledge about settling services to draw and retain newcomers.

Therefore, a candidate must back them up and fulfill all criteria for the rural rejuvenation stream. Without a letter of reference from the neighborhood, Alberta will not consider applications from foreign nationals. The rural renewal process is divided into two stages.

The process starts with a local nomination when the community looks for immigrants to meet labor shortages and provides a letter of support for the candidate.
Second, the applicant sends the AAIP and the conditions for the Community designation.

Eligibility Criteria for Rural Communities

Rural communities must fulfill the following criteria

  • First and foremost, be situated in a community with a population under 100,000 in the same economic zone. May apply jointly
  • Second, be situated outside of Calgary’s and Edmonton’s census metropolitan areas
  • Third, find at least one employer who is enthusiastic about participating and offering full-time, year-round employment.
  • Fourth, get a municipal or community council letter of support.
  • Additionally, provide a signed application and an economic development plan or related document from an organization that prioritizes economic development in its mission.
  • Finally, ask for a letter of support from a settlement agency.

Eligibility Requirements for Candidates

  • To have their applications considered for the rural rejuvenation component, applicants must submit a letter of support from the community they have chosen.
  • Also, you are not permitted to occupy a position that Alberta has designated as ineligible. This comprises full-time employees throughout the last 18 months.
  • Additionally, you must have completed at least 12 months of full-time employment in a qualifying occupation in Alberta, another Canadian province, or abroad before submitting your application.
  • Likewise, candidates must meet the language requirements in either English or French.
  • In addition, you must have completed high school by Canadian educational requirements and hold a foreign degree, diploma, or certificate.
  • Furthermore, you must demonstrate that you have enough money to support your family while they migrate to The Chosen area if they don’t currently reside in Canada or are there but aren’t working.
  • Aside from that, to work in a designated community in an authorized profession, you must have a valid employment contract or full-time job offer from an Alberta company.
