Applications are invited from suitably qualified staff, members and the general public for the under-mentioned position in the Hydro Co-operative Credit Union Limited (HCCUL) Akosombo.

Job Title: MANAGER

The Manager shall report to the Board of Directors of the HCCUL, specifically to the Board
Chairman.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Union.
  • Designing strategies and setting goals for growth.
  • Maintaining budgets and optimizing expenses.
  • Ensuring that employees work productively and develop professionally.
  • Assist in developing policies and processes.
  • Evaluating and improving financial performance.
  • Ensuring that staff follows health and safety regulations.
  • Providing solutions to issues (e.g. Profit decline, employee conflicts, loss of business to
    competitors)
  • Ensuring that the HCCUL complies with all legislative and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensuring the development of products that meet market demands’
  • Ensuring the implementation and review of Staff Performance Management System of the Union.
  • Ensuring that the Vision and Mission of the Union is achieved in line with the Business
    Plan.
  • Attending Board meetings.
  • Acting on behalf of the Board when delegated to do so-
  • Providing financial advisory support to the Board of Directors.
  • Ensuring the preparation of monthly, Quarterly and Annual Financial Report in a timely
    and efficient manner to the Board of Directors
  • Carrying out any other duties that may from time to time be assigned to you by the Boardof Directors.

Academic, Professional Qualifications and Relevant experience

Must have:

  • BSc/BBA/BA in Business or relevant field.
  • MSc/MBA in the relevant field.
  • A professional certificate (Chartered Accountant, Chartered Banker or Chartered Auditor).
  • Must have five to ten (5-10) Years of experience in Credit Unions, Banking or Financial
    Management, Administration and in dealing with rapid and complex change.
  • Must have five (5) Years Managerial or Principal Officer Experience in a strategic role.
    Preference will be given to those in the Credit Union industry.

  • Proven experience as a Manager or similar executive role
  • Experience in planning and budgeting
  • Knowledge of business process and functions (Finance, HR, Procurement, Operations etc.)

The Salary will be in line with the Credit [-lnion’s salary structure and other benefits as stipulated in the Staff Condition of Service.
