BRAVEAURORA is a non-profit entity in the North East Region of Ghana seeking a qualified individual to manage the Operations division of the organization. The individual will be employed full-time to create and execute operational strategies throughout the organization. The applicant must be prepared to reside in Walewale in the North East Region.
BRAVEAURORA has operated as a non-profit for 16 years in Northern Ghana to enhance rural communities and support the well-being of at-risk children and their families. Position Overview
We are seeking an “Operations Lead” who has extensive knowledge and experience in the Non-profit sector in Ghana. The position entails managing the daily functions of the organization, facilitating effective and smooth administration of operational elements, assisting in strategy formulation, and realizing strategic objectives.
Duties and Responsibilities
The candidate’s specific duties will encompass:
- Collaborate with team leaders on the creation of operational, financial, and budgeting strategies;
- Set yearly performance and development objectives for employees to guarantee peak performance;
- Organize, oversee, and assess essential metrics for daily operational performance to guarantee the effective and prompt achievement of all major initiatives;
- Maintain the organization’s policies and standards, guaranteeing compliance with legislative regulations and properly investigating any nonconformities;
- Recognize and maintain strategic connections with other non-profits and implementing collaborators;
- Establish collaborations via networking and advocacy with both public and private sectors to enhance child welfare and raise BRAVEAURORA’s profile;
- Encourage effective and affordable interventions and results;
- Provide technical support in the creation, choice, and implementation of resource mobilization methods and instruments;
- Provide training to other staff and partners as needed, regarding standards, tools, and procedures for operations;
- Comply with professional standards as defined by laws, guidelines, policies, and ordinances;
- Guarantee that donor contractual commitments are fulfilled to a high standard and that policies and procedures are followed;
- Record, evaluate, integrate, and disseminate insights gained; and,
- Examine existing operational procedures and outcomes, then suggest enhancements for better efficiency.
Qualifications and Experience Required
The suitable applicant should typically have:
- A master’s degree in management, business admin, accounting, human resources management, or a similar area
- At least 5 years of experience in an operations position.
- Outstanding written and spoken communication abilities.
- Demonstrated knowledge, dedication, and efforts to advance child safety, gender equity, and diversity.
- Applicable software skills for computers (Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks, Office, SPSS)
- Comprehensive knowledge and substantial experience in overseeing security, risk, and legal adherence.
- Extensive experience in managing budgets.
- Strong understanding of Results-Based Management (RBM) methods and tools.
- Robust analytical abilities and strategic reasoning
- Outstanding interpersonal abilities and
- Proven capacity to promote collaboration among team members.
