POSITION: Junior Lawyer
Position Summary
This is a full-time, onsite position for a Junior Lawyer based in Accra. The Junior Lawyer will be tasked with offering legal assistance to different departments, creating and assessing legal documents, performing legal research, and making sure that regulatory obligations are met. Daily responsibilities will involve participating in meetings, providing legal counsel, and aiding in contract discussions. The Junior Lawyer will assist in resolving disputes and keep current records of legal cases.
Duties
- Aid in the negotiation and creation of commercial and vendor contracts.
- Create and uphold scalable contracting procedures and templates.
- Offer administrative assistance for legal paperwork.
- Support corporate efforts involving litigation, employment issues, and trademarks.
- Engage in creating company policies regarding legal matters.
- Support compliance initiatives, especially concerning data privacy laws.
- Perform legal research and deliver information on relevant laws and regulations.
- Assist legal advisors in communicating with both internal and external parties.
- Aiding in the negotiation and preparation of commercial and vendor contracts.
- Creating and upholding contract procedures and formats.
- Administering support for legal documents
- Contributing to the formulation of organizational policies regarding legal matters.
Requirements
- Skills in legal research and drafting contracts
- Expertise in regulatory and compliance matters
- Skills in negotiation and resolving disputes
- Outstanding written and spoken communication abilities.
- Focus on precision and management abilities.
- Capability to operate autonomously and handle several tasks effectively.
- Experience in the travel and tourism sector is an advantage.
- Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) or an equivalent credential
- Licensed to practice law in Ghana
