POSITION: DEMAND PLANNER

Who are we in search of?
We are looking for a skilled and experienced Demand Planner to become part of our Commercial team. A solid understanding of demand planning, demand forecast execution, and materials availability management is essential to ensure customer delivery performance, sustain optimal inventory levels, and facilitate efficient production scheduling. They need to be proficient in English. We particularly invite youthful and creative individuals to seize this chance to reside and work in Accra-Team.
What are our expectations for the candidate?
The candidate will join our worldwide Commercial Team and primarily engage in coordinating internal teams (operations and commercial) to synchronize material capacity and priorities. He/She is anticipated to oversee supply chain efficiency to guarantee that delivery objectives are achieved. Forecast and tackle possible interruptions in production or material availability, and apply remedial actions to uphold service standards and inventory equilibrium.
The main duties:
Customer Demand Management:
- Precisely handle and document customer requests in the system.
Internal Communication:
- Fulfill obligations with clients.
- Accelerate order processing and address problems quickly.
Problem Oversight & Advancement:
- Monitor elements affecting delivery efficiency and stock levels.
- Raise urgent matters to the appropriate teams.
Production Scheduling:
- Organize, timetable, and authorize manufacturing orders.
- Synchronize strategies with existing resources, capabilities, and client preferences.
Reporting & Projections:
- Create and present regular reports.
- Create production and supply simulations to predict material requirements and enhance inventory levels throughout distribution channels.
- Project SKU-specific demand to inform stock management.
Qualification and Experience
Essential:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a role such as Demand Planner, Supply Chain Officer, or comparable position.
- Understanding of demand forecasting, planning techniques, and inventory control concepts.
- Understanding of production planning procedures and supply chain management
- Demonstrated history of providing precise predictions that aid in achieving business goals, introducing new products, and executing promotions.
- Expertise in managing material availability challenges and production timelines.
- Expertise in demand forecasting software and ERP applications.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or a similar discipline.
Desirable Features:
- Technical expertise: Proficient in demand planning and forecasting at the SKU level.
- Capacity to create and analyze comprehensive reports and simulations.
- Capability to predict accuracy levels against objectives.
