POSITION: Country Programmes Manager
TREE AID invites applications from eligible and interested candidates for the role of Country Programmes Manager in Ghana.
Key Relationships
Finance Officer for the Country (TAGH), Leader of Programme Implementation (WA), Leader of Programme Design (WA), Regional Officer for Communication & Advocacy
Purpose
- Guarantee the effective implementation of TREE AID’s Ghana Projects, overseeing evaluation and reporting while also focusing on capacity building.
- Robust connections with key partners
Required Qualifications and Experience
- At least a Master’s Degree in sciences/rural development studies, forestry, environmental studies, agricultural economics, or another relevant field
- Further comprehensive training and expertise in at least one area of TREE AID’s thematic focus, including forestry economics, agroforestry, sustainable resource management, food security and nutrition, or rural entrepreneurship and enterprises.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Requires a minimum of 5 years of professional experience in a comparable position in the NGO field at a senior management level.
- Should have shown leadership capabilities and the ability to collaborate with others while positively impacting them.
- Strong understanding and expertise in project development and proposal creation.
- Should align with the vision and values of TREE AID
- Capability to collaborate with a diverse array of stakeholders
- Outstanding oral communication and writing abilities
- Capability to collaborate with various stakeholders
- Exceptional oral communication and writing abilities
- Capacity to juggle several opposing demands (multitask)
- Should be proficient in computer use – skilled in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Should be conflict-capable, efficient in work, able to handle pressure, and mindful of time.
- Capability to operate autonomously, show self-initiative, and engage in effective teamwork and relationships.
- Capacity to meet deadlines and reach objectives involving considerable travel in the field
- Should be confident, driven, courteous, open-minded, eager to learn, and responsible.
- Proficiency in French is a valuable asset
- It is necessary to have a riding and/or driving licence.
