POSITION: Driver/Security
Position Summary
We are looking to hire a certified person to take on the role of Driver/Security in our company.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Operating a vehicle:
- Securely convey employees and company representatives for work-related responsibilities.
- Organize programs/activities and pathways to dodge congestion and guarantee punctual arrival.
- Perform official tasks, collect/deliver documents, or help with additional responsibilities as needed by the Managing Director or Administrator.
- Oversee vehicle maintenance, insurance renewals, and overall care.
- Perform regular vehicle checks and quickly communicate any maintenance requirements.
- Make sure the vehicle is consistently fuelled, spotless, and prepared for operation.
- Comply fully with all road traffic regulations, safety standards, and company guidelines.
- Always uphold a professional, composed, and respectful attitude.
- Keep precise activity records and ensure all required reports are submitted punctually.
- Manage sensitive information with honesty and care.
Safety:
- It is essential to avoid losses and harm by notifying of inconsistencies.
- Should notify Supervisors about those who violate policies and procedures.
- Must allocate parking areas for every vehicle that arrives on the site. They should also guide drivers to guarantee precise parking.
- All reports must be finished by documenting observations, data, events, and monitoring activities.
- To record and document any incident or accident that happened.
- Perform a search on employees at the beginning and conclusion of their shifts.
Necessary Skills or Experience
Requirements
- Valid Ghanaian Driver’s License (Category B or above).
- Minimum SSSCE/WASSCE certification or its equivalent
- At least 5 years of driving experience in a professional capacity, ideally with executives or corporate organizations.
- Must be capable of operating a manual vehicle.
- Strong understanding of Accra’s road systems and driving experience in various regions of Ghana.
- Flawless driving history and compliance with traffic laws.
- Strong understanding of vehicle upkeep and problem-solving.
- Experience related to security (can include official training or certification)
- Strong understanding of security protocols/procedures
Skills
- Capability to work varying hours, including mornings, evenings, and weekends as necessary.
- Robust sense of duty, security, and professionalism.
- Outstanding time management, timeliness, and dependability.
- Effective communication and social skills.
- Capacity to perform tasks diligently and effectively.
- Keen observation abilities.
- Capacity to stay composed and make quick decisions during crises.
- Endurance and physical conditioning for patrolling and various security duties.
