About Your Duties
We are looking for an innovative, highly proficient, and experienced Engineering Applications Lead (Autodesk Vault Upgrades, Implementation, Integration, Solution Architect) to oversee the creation, integration, and assistance of engineering software tools and systems. This position is essential in guaranteeing that engineering teams possess strong, efficient, and scalable digital tools to foster innovation, product advancement, and operational superiority.
Primary Duties
- Project Leadership: Oversee enterprise-wide, cross-departmental initiatives that include system upgrades, migrations, and the introduction of new tools. Encourage conversations to grasp user requirements and convert them into technical specifications. Establish project strategies and achieve anticipated outcomes.
- Integration & Customization: Utilize user feedback and requirements to create, enhance, and maintain tailored modifications to engineering tools and connections with organizational systems (e.g., ERP, MES, PDM).
- Process Enhancement: Work together with engineering and internal IT departments to refine workflows, automate tasks, and boost system efficiency. Implement efficient change management to promote acceptance.
- Application Oversight: Manage, set up, and sustain engineering software like CAD, PLM, CAE, and simulation applications (e.g., Autodesk™ Inventor®, Autodesk™ Vault®, Autodesk™ Fusion Manage®, Solidworks, Creo, Ansys).
- Vendor Communication: Collaborate with software providers for licensing, troubleshooting intricate issues, and planning future developments.
- User Assistance & Education: Deliver high-level support, problem-solving, and training to engineering application users throughout various departments. Aid in guiding junior analysts to enhance team skills.
- Data Management: Maintain data accuracy, protection, and adherence to industry regulations and internal guidelines.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree or its equivalent in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a similar discipline.
- Background: Over 5 years of experience in setting up, deploying, and assisting with Autodesk® applications and additional CAD software (Creo/Solidworks/MathCAD), including a minimum of 3 years in a senior or leadership position.
- Expertise in the engineering software (Autodesk™ collection of applications).
- Proven experience in implementing, integrating, and customizing Autodesk™ software through APIs.
- Experience in implementing and supporting Autodesk™ Vault® VAO and Data Standard.
- Knowledge of databases (SQL), APIs, and tools for system integration.
- Outstanding interpersonal abilities and experience in leading international virtual teams with multiple members.
- Proficiency in independent learning and recognizing enhancements, along with the capacity to manage various demands with urgency, motivation, and enthusiasm.
- Independent, meticulous, possessing great initiative and robust analytical and problem-solving skills.
