- Location: HPW Fresh and Dry Ltd, Adeiso, Eastern Region.
Objective of the Role
Service all heavy-duty trucks, tractors, machinery, engines, and auxiliary gear to minimize downtime.
Main Responsibilities and Tasks
- Conduct examinations to detect initial indications of malfunction in machinery and equipment.
- Perform daily and weekly measurements on designated equipment.
- Perform regular preventive maintenance on all machinery listed in the maintenance software.
- Then, perform regular preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment.
- Also, perform the substitution of components on machinery and devices.
- Deliver precise assessments (cost, duration, labor) for a repair or maintenance task to manage downtime concerns effectively and promptly.
- Fill out and submit all maintenance paperwork for each job assigned.
- Make sure to keep the tools utilized for maintenance tasks in a clean and good state.
- Instruct machine operators on starting checks and operational processes.
- Monitor all spare part inventories to prevent stock shortages.
- Make sure to follow precise health and safety guidelines at the workstation.
- Recognize and inform management regarding the condition of machines and equipment nearing their end-of-life.
- Make sure to follow the industry’s best standards at the workstation.
- Make sure to follow rigorous food safety protocols at your workstation.
- Establish effective cleaning habits at the workspace.
- Provide weekly updates on the maintenance of machines and equipment.
- Make an effort to be reachable during emergencies.
Required Qualification or Experience
- Minimum of HND in Mechanical Engineering (Automotive Option)
- At least 6 years of experience in a comparable position or
- Part II or III qualification in Motor Vehicle Technology with 8 years of experience in heavy machinery and hydraulic systems.
