Job Role
Under the overall guidance and direct supervision of the Director of Programmes and Service Delivery (DPSD) will work to manage all other projects.
Primary Tasks, Duties and Responsibilities:
- Monitor, supervise and coordinate the implementation of all the projects in the Association.
- Plan, coordinate and oversee standardization of all the projects in the Association ensuring that all agreements and requirements under the various projects are adhered to
- Monitor and supervise all the Project Leads to ensure successful implementation of all the planned activities for the projects
- Collaborate with all the stakeholders and partners to ensure successful implementation of activities of projects that PPAG partners with the organizations
- Provide technical support to Project Officers in the field, resolving issues and initiating appropriate corrective action
- Ensure that the capacity of Project Leads and Project Officers are built for their effective performance
- Plan, organize and coordinate all project meetings
- Support the Director of Service Delivery and Programmes to develop proposals for funding from existing and newly identified donors
- Assist the Director of Programmes and Service Delivery in collating and finalizing projects reports and documents
- Assist the Director of Programmes and Service Delivery to plan and prepare the Annual Business Plan (BP)
- Coordinates activities related to specific projects and identifies possible areas of collaborations
- The Senior Programmes Manager will coordinate the activities of Center of Excellence activities as may be directed by the Director of Programmes and Service Delivery.
- Collaborate with the Research, Monitoring & Evaluation Manager to ensure proper collection of data from all projects as well as ensuring projects’ information are properly documented
- Prepare annual workplans for all the projects
- Deputise for the Director of Programmes and Service Delivery in his absence
- Carry out performance appraisals for all project staff
- Perform Annual Workplan and Performance Appraisals
- Prepare Annual workplan and Performance Appraisals
- Perform other duties in line with PPAG mission as may be requested by Director of Programmes and Service Delivery

Required Skills or Experience
Minimum qualifications and Skills
- A Master’ degree in the Social Sciences/Psychology/Public Health or it’s equivalent with a minimum of six (6) years working experience, 3 years of which, must be in key project management or managerial position.
- A certificate in project management will be an added advantage
Other Qualities and Requirement
- Excellent managerial, analytical and quantitative skills
- Excellent report writing, communication and presentation skills
- Very good interpersonal skills, good human relations and a team player
- Must have good innovative, proactive and goal-oriented skills
- Must have good knowledge of programme and project management methods
- Must be able to work with little or no supervision
- Excellent in the use of the computer
- Must have high sense of responsibility and be able to take initiatives as well as the ability to work for long hours and under pressure
- Must be able to travel at short notice
- Must have good knowledge and skills in youth programming
