Job Title: Warehouse Officer

Job Description

We are expanding our operational team and seeking a diligent, hands-on Warehouse Officer to join our Accra facility. This role is ideal for an organized professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about maintaining efficient warehouse operations.

As a Warehouse Officer, you will be a crucial part of our supply chain, ensuring the accurate and timely handling of materials and goods. Your attention to detail and commitment to safety will directly contribute to our operational success and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Your role will encompass a diverse range of critical operational tasks:

Receive and inspect all incoming shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders and accurately recording receipts in our inventory management system.
Inspect incoming goods for any damage, defects, or discrepancies and promptly report any issues to the Warehouse Manager, while coordinating with suppliers to resolve them.
Conduct regular physical inventory counts, cycle counts, and stock checks to maintain accurate inventory records and reconcile any variances with system data.
Prepare items for storage or shipment by carefully labeling, tagging, and categorizing them according to specific storage requirements and product types.
Organize warehouse space effectively by arranging shelves, racks, and storage areas to maximize space utilization and improve operational accessibility.
Pick and pack customer orders with precision, selecting the correct items from inventory and preparing them for dispatch to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
Safely load and unload trucks and containers using manual tools and powered equipment like forklifts and pallet jacks, always adhering to strict safety procedures.
Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly warehouse environment by sweeping floors, removing debris, and disposing of waste materials in compliance with health and sanitation standards.

Your Profile and Qualifications

Essential Requirements:

An HND or A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
A minimum of two years of professional experience in warehouse operations or inventory management.
Strong technical aptitude and proficiency with inventory management systems.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve issues efficiently.
A high level of personal accountability and attention to detail.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

The successful candidate will be a proactive and reliable team player. You should possess strong organizational skills, the ability to work independently, and a commitment to upholding safety and quality standards. Experience with warehouse equipment, such as forklifts, is highly advantageous.
