Job Responsibilities

Prepare authentic Indian curry dishes according to restaurant recipes and standards
Operate the traditional tandoor oven to cook naan, roti, kebabs, and tandoori meats
Ensure consistent food quality, presentation, and taste for all orders
Assist with menu preparation and recipe standardization when required
Maintain the cleanliness and organization of kitchen workstations and equipment
Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations according to Australian standards
Support stock control, ingredient storage, and food preparation processes
Work collaboratively with kitchen staff during busy service periods
Monitor cooking times to ensure efficient service and food quality

Job Requirements

1–2 years of experience working in an Indian kitchen environment
Experience with curry preparation and tandoor cooking techniques
Relevant culinary qualification, such as Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent
Good understanding of Indian spices, gravies, and cooking styles
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment
Strong teamwork and communication skills
