Job Duties
- Conduct routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting on MOBA egg grading systems and associated plant equipment.
- Carry out scheduled maintenance activities according to engineering maintenance plans.
- Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns and restore operations to minimise production interruptions.
- Diagnose equipment failures and identify root causes to improve reliability and performance.
- Operate and maintain maintenance records using the MEX Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Manage spare parts, tools, and materials required for maintenance operations.
- Coordinate with production and operations teams to schedule maintenance activities efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with engineering standards, workplace health and safety requirements, and company procedures.
- Support installation, upgrades, and modifications of machinery and production systems.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing downtime and improving operational efficiency.
- Maintain clean, organised, and safe work areas.
- Provide guidance and training to operators on equipment handling and maintenance reporting procedures.
Job Requirements
- Advanced Diploma or Diploma in a relevant technical field.
- Where formal qualifications are not available, at least three years of relevant work experience is required.
- Minimum of one year of post-graduate industry experience.
- Demonstrated experience with PLC programming and maintenance of complex industrial machinery.
- Experience working with MOBA equipment is desirable.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to prepare reports and coordinate across multiple teams.
- Excellent planning and time management abilities.
- Confidence using maintenance and computer management systems.
- Ability to work in a production and agricultural operating environment.
