2024 Oxford Pershing Square Graduate Scholarships – Study in UK

For the Oxford Pershing Square Scholarship for postgraduate studies in the United Kingdom, applications are being accepted from qualified postgraduate applicants.

Outstanding students pursuing the 1+1 MBA are given full scholarships from the Pershing Square Foundation, which cover both the Master’s degree and the MBA year. Successful candidates will have the chance to go to important conferences and events all year long.

Eligibility Requirements

Scholarships are given to those with the following characteristics:

  • Academic success, as evidenced by degree outcomes, GMAT or GRE scores, prior university honors and awards, and other academic successes.
  • Possibility for leadership, as shown by background and drive.
  • A strong sense of devotion, integrity, and morality.
  • Intention to concentrate on addressing global social concerns in their work, either through the formation of a new business or in an already established organization.
  • The capacity to envisage scalable and long-lasting solutions to these problems
  • Clearly defined goals for how the Oxford 1+1 MBA will help you achieve them.

New Oxford 1+1 MBA program applicant

  • Before the selection process, applicants must be accepted into a 1+1 MBA partnership program and the MBA.
  • Applicants who apply to the MBA (as a separate application) and to any full-time, one-year Master’s degree that is not currently on the list of official partners for the 1+1 MBA program.

The scholarship essay must be uploaded in the ‘Funding’ part of the 1+1 MBA program application before the deadline for candidates to be considered. They must also submit a complete application for both courses.

You will have the opportunity to network with the community of motivational people and organizations that are associated with the Pershing Square Foundation, and you will also receive mentoring from those individuals and organizations.

Alumni of the Oxford-Pershing Square Graduate Scholarship, faculty members from Sad and the larger Oxford University community, and members of the Oxford-Pershing Square Graduate Scholarship Advisory Board are all eligible to serve as mentors for current students.

Brooklyn Trek

You will be invited by the Pershing Square Foundation to take part in a “trek” to New York City, during which you will have the opportunity to meet and speak with influential innovators and change-makers.

Pershing Square Foundation

The Pershing Square Foundation (PSF) is a family foundation that was established in 2006 with the objective of providing financial assistance to remarkable individuals and forward-thinking organizations that address significant societal problems and deliver scalable and long-term global impact.

PSF has invested more than $600 million in grants and social investments in priority sectors such as health and medicine, education, economic growth, and social justice. These sectors were chosen because of their importance to the organization. Bill Ackman and Neri Oxman are both current members of the Foundation’s Trustees, and they do so concurrently with one another.

The realization of a great number of significant advancements all over the world has been significantly aided by PSF’s involvement. The advancement of cancer research and agriculture on a small scale are two examples of these developments. Other examples include the reform of the criminal justice system and the provision of educational opportunities for young people living in community settings.

Centre for Criminology

MSc in Criminology and Criminal Justice. A stimulating and demanding program, involving intensive learning in small groups, the MSc in Criminology and Criminal Justice will equip you with an advanced understanding of crime and criminal justice, comprising courses in criminological theory, the study of criminal justice, and training in research design and methodology.

Department of Computer Science

MSc in Advanced Computer Science; has been designed to teach a range of advanced topics to graduates of computer science and other mathematical disciplines.

Department of Education

MSc in Education (Child Development and Education): aims to promote a critical understanding of theories and research on child development and their relevance to the design and evaluation of educational programs and policies in diverse contexts. It also aims to promote a critical understanding of the current challenges for a global and inclusive science of child development.

MSc in Education (Comparative and International Education): is an internationally-recognized interdisciplinary group dedicated to the study of educational systems, practices, and policies around the world. Since its inception in the 1990s, the group has advanced research and public dialogue about the challenges to educational transformations in low and middle-income countries, and the crises and changing faces of educational systems in other parts of the world.

MSc Education (Digital and Social Change): is an exciting and innovative program, in which you will develop a strong theoretical understanding of new technologies, education, and society.

MSc in Education (Higher Education): is aimed at future academic, policy, and practitioner leaders in higher education (HE). It provides a critical introduction to research, theory, and policy in this complex field, taking into account a range of national, international, and global lenses.

Department of Pharmacology

MSc in Pharmacology: The aim of the MSc taught course in Pharmacology is to provide students with the necessary theoretical knowledge and practical training that will enable them to integrate post-genomic molecular biology with physiological function and drug discovery.

Department of Social Policy & Intervention

MSc in Comparative Social Policy explores welfare systems and policy developments across a range of countries with an OECD focus. The comparative element is a key part of the course and is one feature that makes the course at Oxford unique.

MSc in Evidence-Based Social Intervention and Policy Evaluation emphasizes research methods for evaluating interventions and policies, as well as the advanced study of evidence-based practice and policy.

Department of Sociology

Faculty of Law

Bachelor of Civil Law (BCL): is our world-renowned taught graduate course in law, designed to serve outstanding law students from common law backgrounds. As a masters level degree, its academic standard is significantly higher than that required in a first law degree, such as a BA, LLB, or JD, and only those with outstanding first law degrees are admitted. Courses are not introductory, and students are expected to analyze complex material critically and make their own contribution to the debate.

Magister Juris (MJur): aims to bring students into advanced intellectual engagement with some of the most difficult issues in law and legal theory, an engagement distinguished by rigor, depth, and conceptual sophistication requiring immersion in law as an academic discipline as well as informed openness to neighboring disciplines. The MJur raises students to the highest level of professionalism in analysis and argument, equipping them intellectually for legal practice or work as a legal academic at the highest level, as well as for a wide range of other intellectually demanding roles. The course offers a learning experience characterized by a demanding schedule of independent study, highly participative round-table seminars, and a complementary diet of close individual or small-group contact with tutors.

The MSc Law and Finance (MLF): is taught jointly by the Faculty of Law and Saïd Business School, University of Oxford. This full-time Master’s degree program offers an advanced understanding of economic and financial contexts. With its interdisciplinary approach to law and finance, the program is designed to provide lawyers and those pursuing a career in financial institutions, government, or business with a thorough grounding in finance.
