2023–2024 France and Ghana Joint Scholarship for Ghanaians

Ghanaians can now apply for the France-Ghana Joint Scholarship 2023–2024. For the 2023–2024 academic year, the French Embassy in Ghana is working with the Scholarships Secretariat to offer full scholarships to Ghanaian students at the Master’s and Ph.D. levels based on merit and need. This is part of the framework for academic cooperation and student mobility between France and Ghana.

Eligibility

  • The applicants must be citizens of Ghana.
  • Maximum age: 35 years for a master’s degree; 40 years for a joint application and 45 years for a ScholSec application alone for a Doctorate.
  • Academic standing:
  • for a Master’s, a Bachelor’s
  • 2 years of graduate study, or an MPhil for a Doctorate
  • Study Area: French as a second language, STEM, health, sustainability in the environment, tourism, archaeology and heritage studies, and agriculture and food industry are among the areas of study.
  • Applicants with degrees in First Class or Second Class Upper will be given preference.
  • The ability to speak French fluently is not necessary to apply (except for French as a Foreign Language).
  • For Ph.D. applicants, two years of post-degree experience is preferred.
  • Finished one’s national service.

SUMMER SCHOOL IN POLAND 2023 (FULLY FUNDED)

Choice Process

Along with the Scholarship Secretariat, the French Embassy will conduct the selection procedure.

The following is the selection procedure:

  • examination of suitable applications (March 2023)
  • screening of chosen applicants (April 2023)
  • interview with chosen applicants (April 2023)
  • release of the list of selected candidates (early May 2023)

Application

The following should be in the application file:

  • Birth certificate copy
  • Must fill out an application form that can be downloaded (typed)
  • Student’s cover letter, no longer than one page, outlining motivations and emphasizing how the chosen course will help the student advance their profession.
  • A letter of recommendation from your school
  • Academic file: Copy of all academic records, including diplomas
  • Evidence of Master’s or Ph.D. registration or preregistration at a French university.
  • Please include your research subject and an acceptance letter from your Ph.D. supervisor in France with your application for a Ph.D.
  • Curriculum Vitae in-depth
  • Documents outlining the applicant’s financial status (certificate of scholarship for studies in progress, pay slips, or bank statements of students or parents)

2023 SASKATCHEWAN SCHOLARSHIPS FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS

APPLICATION PROCESS

Before 17:00 GMT on Sunday, March 19, 2023, applicants must turn in hard copies of their application materials as well as electronic versions.

Soft copy: Only one application must be submitted electronically to GhanaFranceScholarships2023@gmail.com. The applicant’s initial name and last name should be included in the message’s subject line.

Physical copy: The Scholarship Secretariat and the French Embassy in Accra must both receive applications.

Directorate of Cooperation and Cultural Affairs (SCAC), Fourth Circular Road, Cantonments, Accra, PO Box 187, Accra, Ghana.

Accra High School and the Hilla Limann Highway are both close to the secretariat for scholarships.
