2023-2024 Daemen College Founders International Student Scholarship

Students receive financial aid and grants as a way to alleviate their financial load and to aid them in concentrating on their academic goals. You’re welcome to submit an application for the Daemen College Founders Scholarship if you’re an overseas student planning to enroll in a degree program in the upcoming academic year.

Based on academic achievement, this renowned prize is given each year to first-year students or transfers. Up to $11,000 will be awarded in the first year.

Up to $8,000 is the reward sum (Transfers). When you maintain a 3.0 QPA and are enrolled full-time in undergraduate studies, this scholarship is renewable.

Criteria for Eligibility

The following eligibility requirements should be met by candidates:

  • International students are required to apply.

  • Candidates must have an offer for a full-time program at Daemen College in the United States.
  • A merit-based application procedure with leadership proof.
  • English Language Requirement: Applicants must show proof that they meet the minimal English language competency standards set by Daemen College.

Daemen University Facilities

The 46.5-acre campus of Daemen University is in Amherst, New York. Students at the university can enjoy the elegance of a beautifully landscaped campus while having easy access to the bustling Buffalo-Niagara region because of the university’s suburban location.

The main train, air, and road lines serving Buffalo are all convenient for reaching Daemen. Exit 50 of the New York State Thruway is just under five minutes drive from the campus. The school is a 15-minute drive from Buffalo Niagara International Airport, which is served by the majority of major airlines.

1 . Academic and Wellness Center (AWC)

The workout center and leisure area are housed in the Academic and Wellness Center (AWC), which is across from Daemen’s Main Street campus. It also has cutting-edge classrooms for physical therapy, sports training, and health promotion.

2 . Alumni House

The offices for alumni, publications, and institutional advancement are located in the Alumni House.

3 . Athletics Complex

Lumsden Gym, the university’s intercollegiate athletic administration, and an athletic training room are all located in the athletic complex.

4. Business Building 

The Business Building houses the Office of Information Technology in addition to classrooms, academic offices, a computer lab, and a student lounge.

5 . Campus Apartments

The set of seven two-story apartment-style buildings known as Campus Apartments, with a capacity for 384 students, typically houses upperclassmen students. Each apartment features a living room, kitchen, two bathrooms, and four bedrooms. On every floor, there are laundry facilities.

6 . Canavan Hall

Canavan Hall is a five-story, suite-style dorm that primarily serves as housing for first-year and incoming students. It has 260 beds. One bathroom is shared by two bedrooms. On each floor, there are lounges and laundry rooms.

7 . Charles J. Wick Campus Center

Campus Safety, the CHIP Center (Counseling, Health, Insurance, Prevention), Conference Services, the 24/7 Information Desk, the executive boardroom, an esports center, lounges, the main dining room with seating for 650, the Wildcat Den (multimedia dining location), and a social room/auditorium with seating for 500 are all located in the Charles J. Wick Campus Center, which also houses other student life offices.

8 . Patricia E. Curtis Hall 

The faculty offices for social work, psychological sciences, and physician assistants are located in Patricia E. Curtis Hall.

9 . Duns Scotus Hall

The SPOT student services corridor is situated inside Duns Scotus Hall. In addition to housing faculty and administrative offices, classrooms, science labs, art studios, lounges, the bookstore, print shop, mailroom, the Nancy Haberman Gacioch Center for Veterans, Diversity and Multicultural Affairs, Global Programs (International Student Services & Study Aboard), Paul A. Saffrin Center for Sustainability & Civic Engagement (includes Service-Learning), and the Student-Athlete Academic Center, DS also houses the Nancy Haberman Gacioch Center for Veterans.

10 . Haberman Gacioch Center for Visual & Performing Arts

The Tower Gallery, a graphic design production space, computer labs, faculty offices, the Sister Jeanne File Resource Room, an animation center, and studios for painting, figure drawing, and illustration are all located in the Haberman Gacioch Center for Visual & Performing Arts. Geothermal heating is used in the building, which was developed with green technologies to reduce energy expenditures.

11 . Honors House

Honors House, which is close to the university’s Getzville Road entrance, houses the marketing team’s offices in addition to providing study space for Honors Program students.

12 . MusicalFare Theatre

The theater, administrative offices, and campus event space are all located in MusicalFare Theatre.

13 . Research and Information Commons (RIC)

The LEED Gold-certified Research and Information Commons (RIC) was constructed using cutting-edge green technologies. In addition to a large library, Academic Support Services, Disability Services, Graduate Studies Technology Center, Professional Educator Resource Center, Smart Squad, 78 WEST cafe, small-group study rooms, a seminar and screening room with surround sound and 3D projection capabilities, and many other cutting-edge amenities to improve the study experience, the RIC is home to a comprehensive library.

14 . Rosary Hall

Rosary Hall, the university’s original administrative and classroom facility, underwent renovation and now houses the Division of Enrollment Management & Admissions.

15 . Schenck Hall

A 300-seat lecture hall, classrooms, and laboratory facilities are all located in Schenck Hall.

16 . The Thomas Reynolds Center for Special Education & After-School Programs

The Thomas Reynolds Center for Special Education & After-School Programs has four cutting-edge classrooms, a conference room, and an observation room.

Students complete this 36-credit program with a solid liberal arts background that they can build upon with interesting study options and themes.
