POSITION: Accountant

Description of Role
This is a full-time hybrid position for an Accountant in Accra, allowing for some remote work. The Accountant will oversee the preparation of financial statements, handle accounts payable and receivable, reconcile bank statements, and maintain precise record-keeping. The Accountant will additionally handle budget creation, financial predictions, and support during audits. Moreover, the Accountant will manage tax filings, guarantee adherence to financial regulations, and offer financial insights to aid in decision-making.
Duties:
- Adhering to all accounting and financial regulations set by the company, as well as local, state, and federal authorities.
- Gathering, examining, and presenting financial information.
- Generating regular reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and more.
- Displaying information to supervisors, stakeholders, and other parties.
- Keeping precise financial documentation.
- Conducting audits and addressing discrepancies.
Calculating taxes.
- Staying updated on existing laws pertaining to finance and accounting.
- Aiding management in making decisions by creating budgets and financial projections.
Qualifications Required
- Skills in creating financial reports, overseeing accounts receivable and payable, and balancing bank statements.
- Proficient in budget planning, financial projections, and supporting audits.
- Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a similar discipline
- Must possess a legal authorization to work in the nation.
- Two or more years of experience in accounting.
- Robust analytical and troubleshooting abilities
- Outstanding focus on precision and meticulousness.
- Capability to function both autonomously and as part of a team in a mixed work setting.
- Efficient communication and social skills
- Must be situated within a reasonable commute to Accra, Greater Accra Region, Ghana.
