Job Duties

• Inspect contractor operations on roadway and bridge construction projects
• Perform routine material testing to verify project quality standards
• Measure and track quantities of pay items on-site
• Gather and maintain material certifications and testing reports
• Complete inspector’s daily diaries and other project documentation
• Perform additional related duties as assigned by supervisors

Job Requirements

• Associate degree in Civil Engineering Technology or related field
• 2+ years of progressive technician-level experience required
• Active driver’s license required for all field-based work
• Experience interpreting highway construction plans required
• NCDOT certifications, including Concrete Field Technician, preferred
• 4+ years of transportation construction inspection experience preferred
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and work in outdoor conditions
