Top 12 Beaches in the Philippines to Visit

Many island attractions in the Philippines are popular with tourists, including the boulder beach in Batanes and the pink beach in Zamboanga. Naturally, they each have a favorite. The explanations range widely. It can be the fine, white sand, the stunning scenery, the chance to observe wildlife, or just the peace and quiet.

12 of the Philippines’ most popular beaches rounded up in this article.

Nacpan Beach, El Nido

El Nido is most renowned for its island-hopping excursions, but the mainland is also home to a number of treasures. One side of a cape that projects out into the West Philippine Sea is occupied by Nacpan Beach. With coconut trees gently swinging in the wind as a gorgeous backdrop, it is a long stretch of pure white sand. It’s amazing because it shares a beach with Calitang, and the two of them together make an incredible sight that is totally worth the trip!

Bantayan Island, Cebu

The island of Bantayan is a tropical paradise that is located off the northern coast of Cebu. It used to be a well-kept secret remote from the city for vacationers before it gained popularity as the retreat island in Camp Sawi. Bantayan used to be a sleepy fishing village, but tourism there is now booming as more visitors add this stunning island to their itinerary of Cebu attractions.

It is now a choice for travelers seeking a serene beach location. And despite its increased popularity, hikers continue to love it for its natural beauty and tranquil atmosphere. Its main feature is its fine, white sand, which is so white that it could rival Boracay’s. Although it is exceedingly fine, it doesn’t contaminate the clear, shallow water.

Pink Beach, Zamboanga City

Do you know of any pink beaches? Yes, there is pink sand on this unique beach on Sta. Cruz Grande Island. From a distance, it appears to be a typical white beach and isn’t particularly pink, but as you go near, you can see the color. The crushed red organ-pipe corals that wash up on the shore give the water a pink hue.

Sta. Cruz Grande Island includes a lagoon with high biodiversity in addition to its pink beach. To explore the vibrant marine life on the island up close, you can take a guided trip around the lagoon. Rowing a vibrant vinta is another thing you may do here.

Boracay

For many reasons, including its fine, white beaches, clear oceans, and stunning sunsets, Boracay is ranked as one of the best islands in the world by numerous magazines. If tranquility is what you seek, this location is probably not what you would expect, but if you want to make friends with other tourists and have a good time, it’s simple to do so here.

The fact that Boracay has much to offer for all kinds of travelers is another factor in its popularity. You’ll undoubtedly find something to enjoy about Boracay, whether you’re a business traveler, a family or friend traveler, a lone backpacker, or all of the above.

Carabao Island, Romblon

The majority of visitors to Boracay never leave the island, which is good. But they have no idea that the island is perhaps readily reached from another one!

Romblon, a neighboring province, includes Carabao Island. Before being engulfed by commercial development, Boracay used to resemble Carabao Island. The major feature of the island is a vast stretch of sparkling white sand that greets you as if with a grin. It is sandwiched between crystal-clear waves and a line of picture-perfect coconut trees.

Biri Island, Northern Samar

The majority of the places on this list are recognized for their white sand beaches, however, Biri Island does not. The breathtaking vista of the enormous rock formations that punctuate its coast, however, is what truly distinguishes this underappreciated place.

Danjugan Island, Negros Occidental

Another item on this list that isn’t white sand-related is Danjugan Island. This time, it’s the amazing treasures it conceals within its forests and beneath the waves. The Philippine Reef and Rainforest Conservation Foundation Inc. (PRRCFI) oversees the protected marine sanctuary of Danjugan Island. In 1994, they purchased the island to prevent its devastation. Danjugan features five lagoons, a wide variety of fauna, and vibrant marine life.

It has 10 species of bats, 579 types of fish, 244 species of corals, 72 species of birds, including sea eagles and Tabon fowl scrubs, and 10 species of fish. Even though the island has several diving locations, you don’t need to be a diver to see these species because you may see them while snorkeling.

Danjugan Island is situated in Cauayan, Negros Occidental, 5 hours distant from Bacolod or Dumaguete. Sipalay City, which boasts gorgeous beaches and colorful corals, is the typical departure point for trips to the island.

Black Island, Busuanga

Despite remaining geographically part of Busuanga, Black Island is just a short boat ride away from Coron. It is thought that the moniker Malajon Island, which is used locally, came from the area’s dominant, tall, dark karst cliffs. The waters around Busuanga are dotted with rounded peaks, making this spiky island stand out without effort. The limestones are penetrated by caves, some of which are accessible to tourists.

The wide bed of white sand that laces the island, ideal for sun worshippers, slopes precipitously from where the houses and trees stand.

Daku Island, Siargao

One of the most well-liked excursions on Siargao is the THREE ISLANDS TOUR, which includes a stop at Daku Island. It is the largest of the three and also a barrio in and of itself. Due to its beautiful sand and azure waters, it also offers one of the nicest beaches in the vicinity.

Daku Island is a fishing community with beachside bungalows. Here, you may purchase fresh fish and have it prepared by the locals for lunch.

Calaguas Islands, Camarines Norte

The Calaguas Islands in Bicol are another lovely location. Tinaga Island, Guintinua Island, and the smaller Maculabo Island are among the islands that make up the Calaguas group of islands. From the Camarines Norte mainland, a two-hour boat ride will bring you to this little slice of heaven. It features white sand, turquoise oceans, and a tranquil setting away from the bustle of the city—everything you could want in a tropical paradise.

Long Beach, San Vicente

Long Beach, which is 14 kilometers long and advertised as the “longest white beach in the Philippines,” is best explored on a motorcycle. It is longer than White Beach on Boracay by more than three times. Despite appearances, the beach is really divided into six sections by jagged cliffs that protrude into the water.

Long Beach’s sand isn’t really white; it’s more beige or light brown in color. But from any of the several hilltop vantage spots that break up the route, it’s what breathtaking views are made of.

Blue Lagoon, Pagudpud

One of Pagudpud’s numerous uninhabited beaches is Blue Lagoon. It situates at Maira-ira Point – mainland Luzon’s northernmost point. Despite being difficult to reach from Manila, those who make the extra effort are rewarded with an amazing experience at a cove with fair pebbly sand.

If you go during surf season, you’ll encounter strong waves. The moniker “blue lagoon” comes from the fact that the waters can be exceedingly motionless and tranquil during other seasons of the year, reflecting the sky.
